Summary : Written for Primeval100 Challenge Past Prompts and Challenge 19, Abby

She’d spent her early years trying to make herself as invisible as possible while a constant procession of feckless men had passed through her mother’s door.

She didn’t remember her real father and none of the others had made any attempt to take on that role.

As a result, she’d grown up with a deep-seated distrust of men and an unshakeable belief that they did nothing more than cast temporary shadows over her life.

Connor was doing his best to convince her that he wanted a proper relationship, but those same shadows of the past still stood in her way.

I can see this being canon, but it woul have been nice to be shown more glimpses of it, rather than unexplained crap with Connor. I might have to adopt this as head canon to get out of my dislike of Abby from series 4
