Oh, I forgot to mention in my original comment, but have you seen the film 'The Princess Bride'? Because when they were fighting and swapping hands with the knives and the surprise bit about Ryan, I was totally reminded of the wonderful sword fight between Westley and Inigo on the clifftop (IMO one of the best sword fights in film history ever).
