As her small cart trundled around the play park, Kay let out a shrill bark, urging her two horses – otherwise known as her brothers – to go even faster.
The pups bounded on, ears flapping madly, tugging the cart tied to their harnesses by a couple of walking leads.
Fortunately, Alex and Marcus enjoyed this game almost as much as their sister.
A woman pushing her offspring on the swing said, smiling, “How sweet!”
Becker wondered idly if she’d still think it was sweet if he told her that the little horrors were actually re-enacting the chariot race from Ben Hur.
