primeval_denial's 52 Weeks of Primeval
Claudia shivered in the cold night air, glad of her thick jacket and the woolly hat, gloves and scarf she now always brought with her on anomaly shouts.
The team were in the middle of nowhere in the Forest of Bowland, an area almost completely devoid of trees, despite its name.
The troublesome intermittent anomaly to some sort of ice age had so far disgorged nothing worse than a snow drift, but they were still stuck here for the duration.
Above her, in an ink-black sky, stars shone like the light of myriad anomalies.
She looked up and shivered again.
