Lester eyed the small hole in the riverbank with disfavour, then glanced up at a cloudless blue sky. “Looks like rain, cherub. I think we should go to the pub.”

“Less than 5% chance of rain. Nice try, sunshine.”

“I’m thinking of taking up knitting as a hobby.”

“Good idea. Stabby things. Blade will approve. But as well as caving, not instead.”

Blade gave a thumbs up and disappeared headfirst into the wet hole.

Lester hadn’t been down Little Neath River Cave in years and the entrance looked every bit as unprepossessing as he remembered.

He sighed and gave in.

Thanks! We can do a trip there when lockdown finally ends! H doesn't like it, though, as she always expects to meet a dead sheep in the wet entrance crawl.
