Lorraine walked wearily into her flat.
A long day dealing with the latest budget meeting from hell followed by drafting the next batch of Defence Advisory Notices (no, of course it wasn’t a vicious giant ostrich on steroids, it was a foreign ambassador’s daughter playing a prank) had left her in desperate need of a large gin and tonic and something simple to eat.
She followed her nose into the kitchen in time to see Niall putting a large dish in the oven.
“Corn beef hash,” he announced. “Fork food.”
She wrapped her arms around him. “Just what I need,”
