I think, in some dark, twisted way, that I adore your Helen. Poor Kermit! There I was, chuckling away at the thought of Helen manhandling one of Ryan's men, only to find that she had been doing a hell of a lot more than manhandling!
And, yes, the interconnections in that room were more than enough to give Lester a migraine.
I'm a little confused about the Devil's Crowll dive. You had mentioned it in passing in part 2 and I'm not sure if I've missed something. Why was the dive going ahead in the first place, and why is it still going ahead when there is a rescue to be mounted elsewhere? Is it not a Special Forces dive, and that is why Lyle's fingers are pricking? It is just something going on in the background, which Ryan - and by extension Lyle - had felt was just one thing too many in an area already getting more than its fair share of drama?
Anyway, even if I have missed something, I love this part to pieces and can happily live without the smut (within reason *g*) if you continue to give us this much plottiness and character interaction.
