Broken glass was strewn everywhere.

Twisted metal poked wickedly out of the ruins.

Earth mixed darkly with the sad remains scattered under foot.

Ryan looked like he was seriously considering putting the woman out of her misery. It wasn’t kind to let anyone suffer like that.

The cause of the destruction lifted one huge, shaggy foot and looked absurdly mournful.

The soldier raised his voice, cutting through the hysterical wailing, “Professor, I think it’s got glass in a paw! Do something, it’s hurt!”

The baby mammoth looked mournful.

The owner of the greenhouse looked devastated. The flower show was tomorrow.

I love the idea that Ryan would consider putting the flower grower out of her misery (and probably to stop the wailing *g*) but demands that Nick fix the baby mammoth.

I'm tempted to go back and see what his expression was when the dodos came through...

Only a psychopath would want to use a baby mammoth for target practise, so I thought it was safe bet that Ryan woul think it was cute :) And with a wailing woman for contrast, there'd be no contest!

Okay, I admit to knowing nothing at all about this fandom. That being said, I enjoyed this very much if nothing else for the great imagery and the irony.
