x_bellaitalia_x for her prompt 'There's more than one way to skin a cat.' as a celebratory drabble as a thank you to her for all the pleasure I’ve had from her wonderful fic, The Best days of Your Life.
“The man’s a bloody imbecile! He couldn’t organise shag in a brothel let alone run a bloody faculty!”
As observations went, it was certainly accurate but the problem was that the imbecile in question, newly-promoted to Dean, was in the neighbouring office, the windows were open and Nick’s voice had a tendency to carry when he was annoyed. None of which was particularly conducive to departmental harmony.
When Nick opened his mouth a second time to continue his diatribe, Stephen silenced him with a kiss.
Fortunately, it proved a lot more effecting than his previous attempts at keeping Nick quiet.
