The landlord of the Blue Angel looked like a man who’d had a bad week.
“Thanks for coming out,” he said, mustering a smile.
We’d been told the problem was a ghost, but hadn’t been given any details.
“So how can we help?”
The landlord sighed and jerked his head in the direction of the men’s toilet. “He’s in there. My customers really don’t appreciate being offered a helping hand, if you know what I mean.”
Dennis’s eyes widened slightly.
“One for you, I think,” I told my Apprentice.
“Thanks, boss,” Dennis muttered. “But I went before we came out.”
