Mr FB is home!!!!!

I am very pleased to announce that Mr FB is now home!! He's been discharged and, subject to taking the usual medication, appears to have no greater risk of a recurrence than anyone else. His cholesterol is apparently better than the Registrar who was going over the medical stuff with him. The expectation is a full recovery. The community stroke team will be coming along next week for home visits, and I need to pop back to the hospital tomorrow for the rest of his medication as the pharmacist was off duty by then but they didn't want to hold up his release, so I'll be popping back to collect them.
Thank you all for your support, it really was a comfort at a very difficult time.

Date: 2012-02-11 08:23 am (UTC)Graham said all the staff were magnificient. They certainly pulled out all teh stops to get him home yesterday afternoon. The trip back up today was just to save another hour's wait, so we opted for that.

Date: 2012-02-17 12:52 am (UTC)A few years ago Mr. Pony got a new coronary artery for our 10th anniversary & I thought it was a brilliant present. Hope Mr. FB enjoys as full a recovery, & that you celebrate many happy birthday returns together!

Date: 2012-02-17 09:26 am (UTC)He's doing pretty well at the moment. Just a few balance issue to sort out and still the tiredness that follows a stroke.
Good to hear that about Mr Pony!
