I love all the smiles all through this! I often think I make my characters smile too much, but honestly, smiles are the best, and they say everything in this fic from 'it's okay' to 'hello gorgeous' to 'I'm proud of you' - it's brilliant. I love how everyone in this fic is happy, even with the all the distinctly weird but nonetheless normal frustrations of their everyday lives. Lorraine's summary of her workplace irritations was hilarious - I particularly liked her opinion of Cutter, and the perfidiousness of the Archbishop of York. And the whole fic is so well-described, too - I can 'see' everything from the meeting outside Millbank to halfway through the pub scene, which sounds silly, but I have an extremely non-visual imagination and very little trips it into showing me pictures. Would definitely be re-reading solely for this reason, even if it weren't a) cute as fuck, and b) my favourite pair. ;)

I can't get over how proud of her Blade is. It's fabulous. I suspect he taught her to do what she did to the pickpocket (though she would already have known how to spot the little sod, I doubt her pre-existing skills included detaining thieves) and now he's just going to sit back and watch his brilliant girlfriend teach someone a goddamn lesson. Because he thinks she's amazing. See previous remarks about being cute as fuck!

I'm so glad you found this down the back of your hard drive, it was a lovely treat to wake up to this morning. :D
