“This is the only room left.”

Ryan shrugged. “Fine. I’m sure it’ll do.”

The receptionist handed him the keys with a disapproving glance.

Ryan glanced at the mirror in the lift. Was his gun was showing? No, so why the look on the woman’s face?

The room was small, uninspiring and mainly orange but it was clear of anything hostile.

The car should be fixed by tomorrow so at least it wouldn’t be for long.

Sir James Lester looked round with growing irritation.

Captain Ryan hadn’t seen fit to mention one small but important fact.  There was only one bed.

After a quick break for dinner I came back for this fic, and it was well worth it. I can just imagine what the receptionist was thinking - probably the same thing that Lester was thinking when he saw the bed!
