He drew in a shallow breath and braced his legs for one more push.
Just one final effort and then he’d be through the constriction.
He shoved as hard as he could and gained a few centimetres.
Better but still too tight.
He tried again to breathe and felt panic start to inexorably rise.
He fought against the urge to gasp for air, knowing that what he really needed was an instant weight loss programme.
One more shove…
Danny flopped onto the breakroom floor like a fish out of water.
That was one fucking ventilation shaft he’d avoid in future!
