Couldn't agree more!

I just snagged the bits below in italics from Telperion's LJ, and really couldn't agree with these words more! I know I've said it before, but it's true, you guy's have been a life-saver for me over the last umpteen months!  Anyway, in case I forget to mention it later in the week, I'm off on holiday for two weeks from Friday night. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to get an internet connection, so I might still be able to join in, if not, I'll catch up when I'm back.

If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

That is so true. I am sane only because of LJ, I swear. (People would argue the definition of "sane" perhaps, but...)

Of course, the flip side of this is when the friends you meet on LJ turn out to be very bad influences on you in oh so many bad (read: good) ways!

Sure we'll be in contact again before Friday, but if not, have a fab time in France, and I hope the house looks good when you see it!

I'll definitely be still active until Friday, and hopefully while we're away, as I'd like to get Part 8 finished soon, but depends on the strength of the wi-fi signal, as trying to post/read slash from my friend's own cottage with three inquisative boys aged 13, 11 and 9 could provoke all too many awkward questions!!

Hmmm, yes, being a bad influence to the young ones might earn you some frowns (okay, channelling yoda there, I think!). I can just imagine the kind of...interesting...questions that might arise *g*

Mind you, these are the boys who had my two original fic novels read to them by their mum, and gloried in all the gory bits!! And when I promised to write them a short story starring themselves, I asked what they wanted as a theme and got a chorus of "MURDERS". Grisly little darlings :)

I'm fairly new to LJ but I'm starting to believe if we put everyone in the world on it there'd be no more war. Think about it, everybody gets to express a point of view, find like-minded souls, express their creativity. And you can't go away to fight because you might miss something interesting on your flist. End of the world!

Will probably be in contact before friday but if I miss you (unforeseen incidents are, after all, a speciality), have a great time!

I suspect you're right! Probably why the MOD want to stop so many soldiers blogging! Oh and of course there's always the whole "they don't want people to know what's going on" thing. Cynical ole me, eh!

I'm accustomed to cynicism *giggle* Someone was holding forth in the pub about how Iraq never had weapons of mass destruction and the whole war had been a complete farce. They didn't quite know what to say when Lana politely interrupted with the words "We could have proved they had those weapons any time we wanted, we still have the receipts..."
