Author : fredbassett
Fandom : Primeval
Rating : 12
Characters : Connor/Lester
Disclaimer : Not mine no money made, don’t sue.
Spoilers : None
Summary : Written for Primeval100 challenge 215 Trapped on the wrong side of an anomaly.
A/N : Part of a loose drabble series. This follows: Did You Think I’d Forget, Step Back, Delia Smith and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall Made It Look Easier Than This.
“Do you think we’ll ever get home?” Connor spoke the words quietly, his tone holding nothing more than gentle enquiry.
Lester looked around him at the cave. The wooden bowls they’d fashioned were sitting on a rock shelf, filled with pine nuts and dried fruit. They had a plentiful supply of fresh water and were gradually building up their stocks of food.
They had fresh fern leaves for their bed and in the entrance, a fire burned bright and warm.
He smiled and carded his fingers gently through Connor’s hair.
On evenings like this he felt that he was home.
