“Another stegosaurus in the Houses of Parliament, Prime Minister? How extraordinary. They must like it there.”
Lester pressed a button on his phone to prevent his next words being heard by the buffoon who purported to be running the country.
“Jess, they’ve evacuated Westminster. Downgrade that alert. I’m sure Captain Becker has other more urgent demands on his time at the moment.”
He pressed the button again, un-muting his side of the conversation.
“The response teams are rather stretched at the moment, I’m afraid….”
Lester conspicuously failed to sound in the least bit apologetic.
He’d never wanted that knighthood anyway.
