“So is the wretched paper appearing in the next issue of Antiquity?”
“Do give us more credit than that James,” Jenny said, sharing a conspiratorial smile with Sarah.
“The fakers used ancient charcoal,” said Sarah, pushing a rebuttal over the table to Lester.
Lester looked hopeful. “Did they?”
Jenny rolled her eyes. “Of course not, but the story’s gone viral in the academic world and that’s all we needed.”
