The arrangements were all in place.
Her solicitor would take care of everything. She’d left a will, and a letter of wishes. The house was ready to be put on the market.
The cancer was inoperable, but Margery had known that all along.
A slow, painful decline or a one-way trip to Switzerland? Not the hardest decision she’d ever taken.
One last walk around the garden before the taxi arrived…
The ball of fractured light nestling in the shrubbery caught her attention.
Margery smiled.
The taxi could wait.
Maybe there was more than just one last adventure waiting for her…
