Summary : Written for primeval100 challenge 751, Fall of Civilisations

When the plague first came it ravaged the world.

Millions died and the hospitals struggled to cope.

Governments were incompetent. Many politicians lined their own pockets and those of their friends.

The vaccines gave people hope and, for a time, life returned to a new normal.

Then rips in time disgorged strange predators all over the world; grey, skeletal, and perpetually hungry.

Earthquakes came next, tearing continents apart.

The dead now lay unburied.

Caught between plague, predators and the death throws of the world as they knew it, the anomaly response teams were overwhelmed, but struggled on against insurmountable odds.
