University Challenge

There has just been a question on tonight's University Challenge about slash fiction, and 8 students presented totally blank faces when asked what male pairing was denoted by the letters K / S !!!!!!!!

One of the lads got it right, but it was clearly a guess. Oh what a truly glorious moment :)

Actually, what's more surprising is that it was *male* student who got it, given that most fic writers and to a lesser extent readers (that I know of, anyway) tend to be female.

Absolutely! But the poor boy looked terribly uncomfortable. It was such a fun moment! I was rather hoping none of them would get it, this allowing Paxo to be snarky. He snarks so beautifully.

I think everyone's thinking the same! But it was a guess, that was obvious. Grondfic said the same in her LJ when she made a similar post at about the same time as me, and funnily enough, I thought of her as soon as the question came up!

Oh I would have loved to see Paxman being narky with them if they got it wrong, or equally, seeing if he quietly let that one slide...
