Days when no one died were good.

Days when no one died and Cutter managed to produce a coherent report on time were even better.

Days when no one died, Cutter managed to produce a coherent report on time and he was spared yet another outrageous expenses claim by the Special Forces contingent could almost be described as perfect.

But the news that quite the most venal Home Secretary he had ever had the misfortune to serve had just been convicted of fraud as a result of a genuinely outrageous expense claim was very definitely the icing on the cake.
