fififolle who was amused by Aiden’s television preferences.
Aiden was sprawled across the sofa, his booted feet resting on it in a way that would earn my mother’s wrath if she caught him like that.
He’d overcome his dislike of modern technology to the extent that he now knew his way around the controls for both the TV and the DVD player and he was currently engrossed in the Sarah Jane Adventures.
His grey cat’s eyes were fixed on the flickering light of the television screen as the shadows of a winter afternoon lengthened around us.
We’d gone five hours without a cross word.
Very nearly a record.
