Lester tossed Cutter’s latest report aside.

The professor’s views on the military solution to the creature incursions were well known, but it was time for Cutter put up or shut up.

His new-found reticence on the subject of discipline was now being remarked on by other members of staff.

“Follow me,” Lester ordered.

The Punishment Room smelt of disinfectant and leather.

Lester gestured to a long, inch-wide strap. “You may use that yourself, if you wish.”

Cutter’s eyes widened.

Lester hefted a plaited whip. “This, on the other hand, may only be administered by trained personnel. Make a choice, Professor.”

That's a hard choice for this Cutter. Unfortunately he can't punish Helen. Otherwise he would probably come to a decision quite fast.;)
