Drabble, Stolen, Nick, 12
Aug. 7th, 2011 06:55 pmTitle : Stolen
Author : fredbassett
Fandom : Primeval
Rating : 12
Characters : Nick Cutter
Disclaimer : Not mine, no money made, don’t sue.
Spoilers : None
Summary : Written for Primeval 100 Challenge 222, Footprints
A/N : For anyone interested, the story behind this can be found HERE. I apologise for any implied slur on the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). But they are often the reason for a lot of prosecutions not going forward.
Professor Nick Cutter pulled the collar of his coat up around his neck, but it did little or nothing to stop the chill from the wind that was currently whistling in across the choppy brown waters of the Bristol Channel.
The lighter coloured rock stood out like a sore thumb, a scar on an ancient landscape that had resisted time and tide, only to fall prey to some thieving bastards with a rock drill and a large chisel.
“I’m sorry the best they could do was a fucking caution,” he muttered, his words whipped away by the wind. “Sodding CPS.”
