primeval100 challenge 231, I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That).
Ryan stared in amazement at the contents of Connor’s plate.
Mashed potato, milky sauce, well-stewed onion and something wholly and utterly unidentifiable, but whatever it was he knew he didn’t want to become intimately acquainted with it.
It wasn’t so much a meal as a winter landscape.
“Comfort food,” Connor said with relish. “Tripe and onions like my Nan used to make.” He brandished his fork in the direction of the cooker. “I made enough for two.”
Ryan impressed himself by managing to suppress a shudder. Much as he loved Connor, there were some lines he wasn’t prepared to cross.
