Summary : Written for primeval100 Challenge 237, Call of the Wild.

Connor wandered towards the kitchen in search of coffee, passing Kermit busily texting his girlfriend, wearing the same soppy smile he always had when he thought of her.

Lyle was sprawled across one of the sofas reading an Andy McNab book and entertaining everyone with an acerbic commentary on the hero’s shortcomings.

Ryan was flicking through a catalogue looking for a Christmas present for his daughter and adding his comments to Lyle’s.

But the moment the ADD called them to duty, the soldiers would once again be hard-eyed and dangerous, consummate professionals more than ready to kill and be killed.
