Matt stood in front of him, eyes blazing and hands firmly planted on each hip, legs planted firmly apart.

“This is the third time this week you’ve been reported for fighting, Matthew.”

“They called you a cripple!”

Gideon fought hard to suppress a cough and failed. “They’re right.”

“They said you should be left out for the predators!”

“Sticks and stones, Matthew…”

“There’s no such thing as sticks any more!” Matt waved his hand towards one of the access hatches. “No fucking trees so no fucking sticks!”

He was right, but if Gideon’s plan worked, all that would change forever.
