“We’re dealing with dangerous creatures, not the occupants of a bloody petting zoo.” Becker folded his arms and glared at Cutter.
Cutter glared back. “Every time you kill one of these animals you’re taking the risk of irrevocably altering the timeline.”
The name Claudia Brown hung unspoken between them.
It was an old argument and one Lester was heartily sick of refereeing.
“It came from the Permian,” Becker countered.
“So?”
“So 90% of life on earth was going to be wiped out anyway.”
Lester smiled. It appeared the captain had been paying some attention to Cutter’s frequent lectures after all.
