Summary : Written for primeval100 challenge 275, Faster, Higher, Stronger.

Connor’s thigh muscles ached badly, but he knew that slackening his pace would only result in a painful death in the jaws of the young tyrannosaurus.

The fallen tree ahead of him would present no obstacle to his pursuer, but to him it was a different matter.

He shortened his stride to get the take-off right then jumped as high as he could, hoping it would be enough.

He landed heavily but still scrambled to his feet. Thanks to a year in the Cretaceous, he was stronger than he had ever been before.

That was why he was still alive.
