Fandom : Primeval
Rating : 12
Characters : Stephen, Abby, Connor, Cutter, Lester.
Disclaimer : Not mine, no money made, don’t sue.
Spoilers : None
Summary : Written for
primeval100 Challenge 276, Unexpected. Can be read as a follow on from A Departure from Tradition or as a standalone.
Each face told its own tale.
A mixture of surprise and delight lit Abby’s delicate features, although her eyes –
devoid of make-up and red-rimmed from crying – sparkled with unshed tears.
Connor’s mouth had dropped wide open and Stephen was tempted to tell him that if the wind changed he’d stick like that.
Cutter’s face held naked shock, leavened by a desperate hope that was painful in its intensity.
Lester was the only one who showed caution, with the shadow of suspicion lurking under his urbane exterior.
“How very unexpected,” he murmured. “I do hope you won’t want any back pay.”
