Lester stared around at a scene of total carnage.
Red everywhere. Mangled beyond all hope of recognition.
An F430 Scuderia.
A 375 Superamerica.
A 360 Modena Berlinetta.
A 1982 Quattrovalvole.
A 348 Zagato Elaborazione.
A 1957 250 TR Testa Rossa. The last one to reach auction had sold for £8 million.
It was the equivalent of taking out the crowned heads of Europe in one fell swoop.
Only several times more expensive.
The herd of diplodocus were now standing in a nearby field, looking unconcerned, which was more than could be said for the members of the Ferrari Owners’ Club.
