Summary : Written for the Primeval100 challenge 289, Headlights on a Dark Road
It was dark, the supermarket had been a nightmare of shrieking kids and harassed mums, all she wanted to do was get home, pour a large gin and tonic and have a long, relaxing soak in the bath.
She took the corner slightly too fast and then slammed on the brakes at the sight of something in the middle of the road. Something huge with legs like tree trunks.
The car skidded sideways. Her neck snapped on impact.
The police could not explain the trail of enormous footprints that led into the middle of a nearby field and simply disappeared.
