Summary : Written for the Primeval100 challenge 290, Rain
Connor leaned against the cave wall and watched as large fat raindrops splattered on the thick fern leaves outside the mouth of the cave bursting like water-filled balloons.
The clouds were already starting to break up, and in places the sun had now broken through, allowing shafts of misty sunlight to penetrate the trees.
To the west, the multi-coloured strands of a rainbow formed a perfect arch in the sky.
He felt Abby’s light touch on his shoulder and smiled up at her.
There was no need to go looking for the pot of gold. He had already found it.
