UK TV show called Primeval. Aired at the beginning of the year. A wonderful combination of pretty me, dinosaurs, even more scrummy men with big guns wearing tac vests and looking hot. And OMFG is it just THE most slashable show ever.

Seems to appeal to people who also like Numb3rs and SGA. The general consensus is that people like the military/geek combination.

Many thanks for this, I have now put these wonderful fics in order and printed them off 'cos I'm still old-fashioned enough to love curling up in bed around a good read. (Bit difficult to do with a laptop)

But now I'm throwing myself at the goodwill and expertise of your readers... Does anyone have a decent sized Ryan/Hart manip I could use as a front cover for this breathtaking series. I would do it myself except I'm totally computer illiterate passed switching the damn thing on, so the joys of photo manipulation is way beyond me.

Yes, laptops are a bit restrictig as bedside reading. That's beyond my teccie skills, so hopefully someone who sees this might have something!

Not sure how this'll help, but the only other one of Ryan's team that has been mentioned as having a kid is Kermit (the lad who followed Helen through the anomaly and was caught by her) and he has a 6 month old baby daughter.

Exploding worms were fun, but I especially loved the bit when a worm's head got slammed in the copier - and copied! Reminded me of a long ago even at work with two of us helping the third girl photocopy her bum - on an old stle sliding bed copier!! She was a big girl, and our practice accountant was in the room next door, and she would soooooo have been Not Amused. I've had a thing about Inappropriate Use of Photocopiers ever since :)

So many Stephen/Ryan fics! I like that pairing too, but I like Nick/Stephen more. I do hope you'll write about them. I haven't read these fics yet so I might say something that already is on those fics, but it would be nice to see a Nick/Stephen after Ryan's dead. Nick conforting his friend, having jealous of a dead man and finally admiting his love for Stephen (it's said Steven and they right Stephen! weird!But nice ^.^)

My fic-verse is firmly rooted so far in a realirt between eps 5 and 6 of Season 1 and I haven't gone anywhere near the problem of Ryan's death as in my world it just hasn't happened. And I have to say, probably won't. I'm a coward like that and I like my boys too much!!! But I might do some more stand alone Nick/Stephen if the fancy takes me.

Real name, Niall Richards. Description from FTS: Stephen looked up into the face of the man who, right now, was quite probably the only other human being on the planet. The soldier was younger than him by maybe five or six years. Dark hair, cropped short. Good looking, with a wide mouth that under other circumstances could slide easily into a cheerful grin, a permanent five o’clock shadow and the most vivid green eyes that Stephen had ever seen.

So, this makes him about 26. Single.

He goes caving with Lyle, and was one of the guys who went with Lyle and Lester into the Devil’s Crowll, along with Finn.

Originally, he was with Lyle’s unit rather than Ryan’s, but now they’re running three teams, (Ryan’s, Lyle’s and Stringer’s), the guys have been more interchangeable.

Parents died when he was a kid. Brought up by his grandparents.

Kermit.

Real name Darren Cooper. Married, with a baby daughter (now about 9 months old). He chased Helen into the past at the beginning of DC series. She caught him, and it’s been hinted that she had sex with him. (While his hands were still tied, lol!)

25. Brown hair, brown eyes.

Lieutenant Jon Lyle.

Same age as Stephen, so 32.

Description from the first time Stephen met him, in Interlude : He was a few years younger than Ryan, less heavily built, with short dark hair and sharp hazel eyes,

His thumbs prick when he senses trouble.

Served with Ryan in Bosnia.

Runs a unit of his own, originally providing back-up to Ryan if needed, but now on the project full time. It’s Lyle who’s technically in field command in FTS as Ryan is too personally involved.

Main hobby, caving and cave diving, as seen in DC.

Ditzy.

Dave Owen. Unit medic in Lyle’s team. Also a caver, but doesn’t cave dive.

29. Single.

Sarcastic. The others all claim he has cold hands!

Mid-brown hair. Brown eyes. Fairly stocky. Medium height.

Finn.

See Fififolle’s icon’s for looks. He is the only one taken from a shot in the actual series.

Mid-late 20s. Also caves with Lyle. Went into the Crowll with Lyle and Blade.

Appeared in FTS, and went into the Thornton’s house with Cutter and Ditzy.

Is picking up a bit of a reputation in fanon for being a bit dim. See Lukadreaming’s Iceman series. I’m happy to play along with this. It suits him.

You're very welcome to friend me, and I'm pleased you've found your way here from Denial, which, I have to admit, is my spiritual home (and not just because I'm a co-mod there!) I'd be delighted if you decide to check any early stories out (and I'd love to know what you think of them). The main series really started with the fic called Predator, which was my very first fanfic and slash story, which I wrote (after many years writing original fic) just to see if I could. And then it all rather grew from there.

The stories which now precede it on the list were written later, some for pre-series challenges on Denial. My fic does include a cast of OC's, mainly amongst the soldiers, as they are pretty necessary when you're writing longer, plotty fics. But if you start with Predator, you'll meet them all in order.

Pull up a chair, grab some popcorn, and I hope you enjoy the fic!

Funnily enough, I was thinking exactly that last night, particularly for the drabbles which are very multi-pairing, so the short answer is yes! I did think of it a while ago, and was just a bit stumped as to how to categorise the series, as the ratings (and even sometimes the pairing) can vary in something like the Devil's Crowll.

I'll play around and see how it looks. It was just never meant to end up this BIG !!

I'll give you a head-up when I've got a few done, and you can tell me if it's working out OK.

Thanks for letting me know you're reading! I'm glad you're enjoying the series :) Yes, there will definitely be more Connor angst to come, and quite soon. It's going to play a major part in the next story arc, which Munchkin and I are planning at the moment. Hopefully we'll be ready to start posting once my current mini-series finishes.
