The distaste on Lester’s face almost made the little gobbet of dinosaur guts hiding in Connor’s left ear worth treasuring.

The civil servant now knew first hand what the term collateral damage meant and had some idea at last what they had to put up with.

He’d just discovered for himself the two immutable facts about the aftermath of any messy incursion from the past.

One : Ryan always beat everyone in the race to the showers.

Two : Only one shower provided reliable hot water.

Maybe now the tight-fisted sod would sign the requisition to get the rest fixed.

I'm starting to wonder if we should name this weekend 'the weekend of innaprorpiate shower fics'? There does seem to have been a bit of a shower!fic explosion the last couple of days.

And pleasepleaseplease tell me you got Lester dirty again? The idea of Lester covered in dinosaur guts in strangely compelling! Unless he's just looking down his nose at the selection of guts-encrusted team before him?

I'd really like Lester to be covered in guts. And a video of Ryan stripping... *nods again*

Okay, that's it, now I REALLY have to start tracking down episodes of this show because when I'm laughing at drabbles starring characters I know nothing about I know it's time to get into a new fandom. And besides, anything with dinosaurs automatically gets a little silver star in my mind.

Oh, I am so there. I'm there with bells on. Pretty men + Dinosaurs = a situation made completely of WIN and AWESOME. And wow, I think I just fell in love with Connor. Either that or I want to be him. Possibly both. Freud would have a field day with that one, I think. *laugh*

Also, I read them both and I adored them! So yes, the characters very much speak for themselves - something that I think speaks of your abilities as a writer.

Connor is gorgeous, but he's not a character who comes naturally to me, so I'm always glad when he works but he is great fun to play with. There are quite a few writers in the fandom who do a really great job of getting under his skin. I had my very first attempt at slashing him recently, after the first episode of season 2 (a fic called Brave New World), but I suspect that will make sod all sense without having seen the show.

There's a master list at the head of my LJ, so be welcome and have a play around if you have any idle moments. We may well be able to claim you as a Primeval convert if you carry on! *grins*
