A/N : I really couldn’t let this prompt go without making a brief visit to the world of Silk & Steel. No particular spoilers for that verse, but this does come with the usual slave!fic warning.
Lester stared down at the man kneeling at his feet.
Ryan’s uniform was covered in blood, some of it his own, but his report had been delivered as succinctly and emotionlessly as ever.
Lester ran one finger down the stubble on Ryan’s cheek, bringing it to rest on the warm steel of the collar encircling the captain’s neck.
Ryan looked exhausted but Lester knew what the soldier needed to take the edge of his post-combat adrenalin fatigue.
“My room in ten minutes. You may use the shower first.”
Ryan lifted his head, eyes closed and said quietly, “Thank you, master."
