Summary : Written for the Primeval100 challenge 357, On Top of the World
The climb from the South Col had taken eight hours.
The wind was biting; so strong on the slabs above The Balcony that he’d thought he wasn’t going to make it across.
But now he was on top of the world, surrounded by the world’s tallest peaks, shining white under a clear, azure sky.
On the summit, something sparkled even more brightly, coalescing into a shining, fractured ball, turning slowly in the light.
He knew it was stupid, but he still stepped into it.
The world turned greener and warmer, and he had absolutely no fucking idea what had happened.

Nice to see the 'anomaly effect' from a human stranger's point of view.

Date: 2014-03-12 06:21 pm (UTC)So many people must have 'known it was stupid' but still stepped into the light over the years. The newspapers will have a field day with this disappearance. Nice idea.

Well, at the very least, it is a bit of a break from the cold for him!
Get back safely, mate, and see who believes you (a rag tag group in the UK will)
