“What Professor Cutter means is that it would be helpful to known when the current budgetary freeze is likely to be lifted, Minister.”
Claudia shot Cutter a warning look and, not for the first time, wished she could take a leaf out of Captain Ryan’s book when it came to dealing with the man.
The minister glared at both of them. “I think I know exactly what Professor Cutter meant, Miss Brown.”
“Wanker,” Cutter muttered, failing to turn the word into a cough.
The thin ice promptly cracked and broke.
