The creature had legs like an ostrich, a beak that no one wanted to get too closely acquainted with, and a very distinct resemblance to Professor Cutter in an extremely bad mood.

They’d been chasing it around the grounds of Hampton Court in a howling gale for the past two hours without success, while the wind whipped away all Stephen’s tranquilliser darts.

“That way!” Connor yelled.

Everyone who was close enough promptly formed a line and for once the beast went in the right direction.

Ryan groaned.

Now they were going to have to chase it around the bloody maze.
