Becker kicked the door shut, not caring if his neighbours complained about the noise again.
He’d gone for a walk in an attempt to distract himself, but it hadn’t worked.
4pm. What the fuck, he really was beyond caring.
He reached for the whisky bottle and sloshed a generous measure into a glass. If he started now, he might even get some sleep that night.
And if he was lucky he might not end up with Sarah Page’s blood-stained face staring accusingly at him.
But his luck seemed to have run out the day they’d lost Abby, Connor and Danny.
