Lester stared in irritation at Burton’s latest email: a snide suggestion that perhaps some thought should be given to the drafting and implementation of a policy on appropriate dress in the workplace.

He knew perfectly well who the wretched man was getting at, but as far as he was concerned, Burton could fuck off.

It had taken Lester a while to appreciate yellow cardigans, purple skirts, red shoes and lime green tops, but now the mere sight of Jess Parker in her bird of paradise plumage was one of the few things guaranteed to bring a smile to his face.
