Lester stared at the ever-growing pile of paperwork.

There were reports of anomaly incursions, memos, meeting notes, holiday forms and kit requisitions

He scrawled 2/10, must try harder! on Cutter’s latest dismal effort. Then put a red line through yet another impassioned plea for a tank from Becker adding, For the tenth time, the answer is still NO.

The Minister’s memo went to line Sid and Nancy’s basket.

Eventually, a smile crept onto his face as he signed the last requisition. After all, the mammoth could hardly be expected to go without hay and treats.

Some things really were unthinkable.
