The black Range Rovers came to a halt in the middle of a spotlessly clean farmyard.
“Tenner says Temple still ends up in a pile of pig shit,” of the soldiers muttered.
Ryan pretended not to hear, even though he agreed.
A small woman wearing a floral apron and a don’t-mess-with-me look gestured to a gate at the far side of the yard.
“Meg’s got ‘em pinned down ow’r yonder,” she declared.
Four raptors, cowering in the corner of a sheep-pen watched over by a sharp-eyed black and white collie, were only too pleased to be repatriated to the Cretaceous.
