Lester looked out of the window.
The incessantly bright lights of central London cast a hazy orange glow into the night sky, almost obscuring the light of the stars.
He stood there, holding a glass of brandy in his hand, wondering what sort of sky his lover might be looking up at.
Would he even be seeing the same configuration of stars?
Danny could be anywhere and anywhen.
For a moment, Lester considered praying to a God he didn’t believe in.
Then he lifted the glass to his lips and turned away, doing his best to hold onto hope instead.
