Christine watched as her soldiers moved through the building, quickly and efficiently putting the place into lockdown.

If looks could kill, the one James Lester was directing at her would have had someone measuring her for a coffin by the end of the day, but he was finished here, whether he liked it or not.

Lester and his band of misfits had failed to deal with the anomalies so now it was her turn.

Once she had the artefact, they could start to get a grip on the problem and turn it to their advantage.

Or rather, to her advantage.
