“The man’s a climate change denying halfwit.” Stephen declared in deep disgust.
“Could have been worse,” Cutter commented, looking more phlegmatic about the latest ministerial appointment than Lester had expected. “We could have been landed with a god-bothering creationist.”
“She got the Department of Transport,” Claudia commented.
Stephen rolled his eyes at the pair of them. “Climate change matters!”
“I’m not saying it doesn’t, lad, but life survived the Permian extinction, so it’ll survive whatever man throws at it.”
Lester smiled wolfishly. “Congratulations on a healthy sense of perspective, Professor. Now, if you’ve quite finished, gentlemen, can we move on?”
