“Great Western Railway are sorry to announce that due to an incident on the line, this train will proceed no further this evening”
The announcement was largely inaudible, but the mad rush to the doors told Jenny all she needed to know.
She turned off her iPod in time to catch the next part: “Will passengers please make their way to Platform 7 for the 6.30 train to Waterloo.”
At the same moment, her mobile phone buzzed with an incoming text. Giant sloth on the train line just past Reading.
Jenny sighed. It was going to be a long evening.
