At 10, he was relentlessly bullied at school for being abysmal at sport.

At 15, he’d found a sense of belonging on various internet palaeontology and conspiracy theory message boards and sites.

At 20 he was working for a top-secret government organisation dealing with rips in time and the creatures that came through them.

At 25, he married Abby Maitland.

At 30, he became a father.

At the age of 40, he was awarded a Nobel prize for discovering how to control the anomalies.
