Summary : Written for the Primeval100 challenge 253, Ethan Dobrowski

Killing came easily to him.

It had been kill or die for years in that hell of a world.

After that, he had always held life cheaply.

Until he’d met Charlotte Cameron.

She had been kind and gentle. At first, she’d seemed too fragile for a nomadic life travelling through the gateways, but later he’d learned that strength could not always be measured by how easily you could break necks, stab or bludgeon to death.

He learned from her. And in some ways, she learned from him.

Her death stripped away the balance he’d found.

Killing came too easily again.

He was definitely one of the series villains with more rounded character and motivation!

Nice insight, completely believable. I'm torn between pitying Ethan and fearing him.
Great drabble!
